Also sharing her birthday is none other than Mr. R. Lee Ermey, an ex-Marine drill instructor who parlayed a memorable turn as a- that's right, you guessed it- Marine drill instructor in Stanely Kubrick's half-brilliant Full Metal Jacket into an acting career that thrives in spite of his utter inability to act. You can see him in the recent remake of Willard with Crispin Glover. The first 45 minutes of FMJ are absolutely hilarious, and the biggest reason for that is Ermey's Gunnery Sgt. Hartman.
