WMD just a convenient excuse for war, admits Wolfowitz

The Bush administration focused on alleged weapons of mass destruction as the primary justification for toppling Saddam Hussein by force because it was politically convenient, a top-level official at the Pentagon has acknowledged.

One would hope that this would cause an enormous outcry and actually change some minds, but I'm afraid it isn't. Too many people think the actions were justified, especially given the outcome. Like my man Dave Cousins once wrote, it's a "Grave New World."
