DC COMICS SELLS OUT OF THE MONOLITH #1

The debut issue of the new series THE MONOLITH (DEC030283) has sold out at DC Comics. The issue, written by Jimmy Palmiotti ( recently interviewed here at CWN) & Justin Gray with art and cover by Phil Winslade, arrived in stores on February 4.

"This is great news and a real solid sign that people are interested in experiencing new and exciting concepts," say Palmiotti & Gray. "We cannot thank the wonderfully talented crew at DC Comics enough for their hard work in making THE MONOLITH a hit!"

"We printed this issue substantially beyond retailers' orders," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing. "Between advance reviews and word of mouth, this series has momentum. We suggest retailers increase their orders now on upcoming issues."

Well, what did you expect him to say?
